Tales of the Tribune Co.: Chicago Tribune Latest to Feel the Cut

Following last week’s announcement that the LA Times plans to cut 250 jobs by the end of the summer comes word that the Chicago Tribune will also be scaling back on both employees and pages.

The Tribune says it plans on eliminating approximately 80 of its current 578 newsroom positions by the end of August as well as reduce the number of pages it publishes by 13 percent to 14 percent each week.
