Susan Philipsz Wins Turner Prize

There’s a new Turner Prize winner as of yesterday afternoon, but you can’t see the art that helped win it. Scottish artist Susan Philipsz took home the big prize for her audio piece that involved recordings of her singing installed under three bridges in her native Glasgow (here’s video). While the British press usually have a field day bashing the annual award, not helped in any way earlier this year when there was that kerfuffle with press photographers, this time most critics seem to agree that Philipsz’ win was
