Survey Shows Nearly 20 Percent of Workers Will Spend Thanksgiving With Colleagues
Sure, you’ve probably heard about the expression “work family” and with Thanksgiving almost here, it couldn’t be closer to the truth.
According to a new CareerBuilder survey, almost one in five workers plan to celebrate the holiday with colleagues.
The highest percentages hover around Houston (40 percent), Dallas (32 percent) and Atlanta (31 percent) and by industry. Leisure and hospitality professionals plan to hang out with co-workers on Turkey Day to the tune of 20 percent compared to health care at 19 percent and IT at 16 percent.
We should point out it’s pretty consistent by age.
