According to a new study published by Blowfish, approximately 50 percent of employees revealed they arrived at the office hungover.
In addition, 28 percent mentioned they were tardy to the office because they were out partying the night before and 17 percent admitted they called out sick because they were simply too hungover from the previous night.
The culprits? Pounding Samuel Adams beer or doing Lemondrop shots. As for the breakdown by state, Michigan and then Wisconsin take the number one and number two spots, respectively.
While the statistics are very telling and certainly don’t boost productivity, we guess there is a silver lining to all of this hangover talk. It’s better than showing up to the office inebriated, right? (Be sure to check your HR policy on that one.)
