Survey Says Employees Thankful for Friends at Work

If you’re on a skeleton crew today at work, you’re not alone. Actually, check that — you are alone and you’re probably getting a lot done!

Well, according to an OfficeTeam survey, aside from a steady paycheck, most employees are most thankful for friendly colleagues. So, you may be feeling the extra sting of loneliness today since nearly one-quarter of professionals in the survey were grateful for friends at work. This even supersedes one-fifth of respondents who attributed employment gratitude to their benefits programs.

Survey participants across the country were asked, “Aside from salary, what are you most thankful for at your current job?” Next on the list behind a benefits program was an easy commute at 16 percent and then challenging assignments at 15 percent, followed by a supportive manager at 11 percent.
