Super Bowl XLV, WNYW Crushes Competition

Even without the Jets playing in the big game, there was little doubt that Super Bowl XLV would be the number one show in New York last week.

The game, which became the most-watched prime time program in history, pulled in an estimated 6.6 million viewers on WNYW with a eye-popping 32.8 rating, according to the Nielsen Company.

Although there was drop off following the Steelers/Packers matchup, the post-game show was number two (3.9 million/19.4).

Scoring the coveted slot after the Super Bowl, Glee landed at three (2 million/10.0)
