Study Reveals Visible Tattoos Can Decrease Odds of Landing New Jobs

If you have visible body art, as in a good, old-fashioned tattoo, you may be surprised to see how it can hinder your shot at a new job.

According to a new study we heard about on The Huffington Post, tattoos may potentially cost you a new job.

Dr. Andrew Timming of St. Andrew’s University School of Management in Scotland interviewed hiring managers and recruiters from 14 various organizations such as prisons, schools and banks. Results from the survey revealed that visible tattoos are indeed a hiring stigma.

Employers indicated tattoos can “make a person look dirty.”
