Stop 6 Is At It Again. OMG.

The "Stop 6 Project" is a fake movie created to tempt would-be writers into paying money for the chance to write a non-existent sequel. Essentially, scam in all senses of the word. (Backstory: here and here). Thanks to an astute commenter, we've been alerted that the folks behind the first scam are at it again. "The Hood Detective" is a fake movie created to tempt would-be writers into paying money for the chance to write a non-existent sequel. The only difference is that "The Hood Detective" is a comedy, while Stop 6 was a fake documentary. Stop 6 asked wannabe scribes to either pay $10 to watch the movie or sign up for a "trial offer" in order to "watch for free." The actual language: "Watching the movie as soon as possible is necessary because you should be willing to do this genre so you should watch the first part. Also, you might decide that you can't or don't want to do it...as a small production company we absolutely must know that we have someone that is reliable, dependable, and supportive that will go the extra mile to ensure that we will COMPLETE the project." The language from Hood Detective: Watching the movie as soon as possible is necessary because you should be willing to do this genre so you should watch the first part. Also, you might decide that you can't or don't want to do it...as a small production company we absolutely must know that we have someone that is reliable, dependable, and supportive that will go the extra mile to ensure that we will COMPLETE the project." Come on. At least change your boilerplate! Send us more examples from this company; we'll post them all.
