Steed Media Group has partnered with Ford to create Producer 10, a multi-media magazine heralding the launch of the 2010 Ford Taurus and geared specifically towards black men. The title will highlight the personal stories of 47 influential individuals, including Miami Heat player Dwyane Wade and the Rev. Al Sharpton.
Additionally, Producer 10 plans to produce a documentary in February 2011 to coincide with Black History Month. More information about the project and the producers involved, as well as fashion and culinary tips, can be found at www.producer10.com, the project’s online home.
Wade explained why he elected to participate in Producer 10: “It’s important to me because I can tell my story and hopefully help someone else out to understand what people have to do in order to become successful.”
The magazine will be distributed across ten target markets via home delivery and through “specific male-oriented points of contact,” like certain shops, gyms, businesses and special events. Additionally, the project will include a multi-city tour, called “Design and Dialogue,” to further highlight the men profiled in the magazine.
