Sports Illustrated is really upping its cover game. One week after publishing one cover for each of the women’s soccer team members, SI has recreated its iconic Joe Namath cover, only this time using Jets cornerback Derrell Revis.
The Revis cover mimics the 1965 Namath cover, which declared “Football Goes Show Biz.”
“When Darrelle re-signed with the Jets this year, along with some other changes the Jets made, I think it’s given all of us Jets fans some enthusiasm,” Namath told SI.
Revis is definitely worth getting excited about.
