Something to Brighten One of the Shortest Days of the Year

Since the holidays are a time of self-reflection, we bring you the second mirror story of the week. According to Engadget, an Italian town has constructed some kind of mirror to reflect light into their tiny, sunshine deprived valley, which is walled-in by unfortunate series of mountains. The 26 x 16-foot mirror on the top of a ridge catches the late-afternoon glow and sends it down into the shady city below. This was, of course, after the Italians accidentally installed at 26 x 16-foot magnifying glass, causing the village to smolder while scorched residents ran to escape the treacherous “death ray.”
