SNL Parodies the 'Oscars of Porn'
Another sign that porn is filtering into the mainstream: Over the weekend Saturday Night Live did a skit about the AVN Awards, otherwise known as the Oscars of the adult industry.
AVN.com called the sketch “very amusing,” but pointed out that SNL got a few things wrong:
Whoever was responsible for the skit couldn’t have been that familiar with their source material—it was presented as the 17th annual “Adult Video Awards” as broadcast on the Spike network (our shindig airs on Showtime, thank you very much)—but they did choose as their comedic target a very legitimate portion of the AVN Awards: the memorial reel.
