Slate Adds to Team

Slate.com has added two members to its team. Laura Helmuth has joined as the site’s new science editor. Helmuth comes to Slate from Smithsonian, where she worked as a senior editor. Prior to that she worked in the news department at Science magazine. At Slate, Helmuth will be oversee health content and the site’s Explainer section.
