Siempre Mujer Hosts "Siempre Beauty" - A Panel On Beauty And The Latina Consumer

This morning, we had the pleasure of sitting in on Siempre Mujer magazine’s panel on Latina beauty (a topic to which we’re partial), held at Tribeca Cinemas. The panel included Cuban model and TV personality Daisy Fuentes, Miami-based hairstylist Leonardo Rocco, dermatologist Dr. Alica Barba, Macy’s multicultural market director Kristyn Page, and Siempre Mujer beauty editor Ursula Carranza. The panel was moderated by Ruth Gaviria, executive director of Siempre Mujer, who asked the panelists about their thoughts concerning the purchasing power and buying habits of Latinas (Turns out: American Latinas spend about three times as much as their non-Latina counterparts when it comes to beauty products), brands that resonate with the Latina community (Lancome, Clinique, Olay and Suave were all named), and how culture and society play into the choices Latinas make when it comes to beauty.
