Fans Propel #ShawnToNumber1 on iTunes
Canadian-born singer Shawn Mendes is currently down to #6 on the iTunes Top Albums chart. But last night, his $3.99 EP was sitting at the top, thanks to an army of supportive fans.

“Let’s get this bad boy to No. 1,” Vine star Mendes told nearly 26,000 fans who were watching his live stream commemorating the release of his first EP on Sunday night.
Smiling at the camera in a small studio in Dallas, the 15-year-old urged the viewers to tweet #ShawnToNumber1, and within 37 minutes of making the EP available on iTunes, his music catapulted to the top spot on the iTunes Top Albums chart.
