Sharon Waxman Packs Book Soup, Gets Heckled By Times Reporter

A FishbowlLA associate reports that the Sharon Waxman book-signing at Book Soup was a sardine can of prominent media figures, including Mike Medavoy, Paul Weitz, Peter Bart and Taylor Hackford. Noisiest among them was slightly-scandal-tainted New York Times Los Angeles correspondent Charlie LeDuff, sporting a suede vest and at least one earring. LeDuff constantly interrupted Waxman’s reading to jokingly demand to know what page she was on, so he could follow along in his own copy.

I guess that’s what the New York Times considers ‘fact-checking.’
