Daily Bruin Reporter is a Scripps Howard Winner
The Scripps Howard Foundation has announced the winners of its annual National Collegiate Reporting Competition.
Selected on the basis of letters of recommendation and a submitted essay about their interest in international affairs, the group of nine includes Marjorie Yan, a sophomore economics major at UCLA and reporter with the Daily Bruin. She will join Bradley J. Hamm, dean of the journalism school at Indiana University, and her fellow winners for an all expenses-paid trip to Japan beginning June 17th.
