Santa Monica Mirror Welcomes New Editor-in-Chief
An Aussie, by way of Beverly Hills. That’s the basic logline for new Santa Monica Mirror editor-in-chief Brenton Garen (pictured).
Garen came to LA around Christmas 2008, initially freelancing for Down Under networks Seven and Nine Network Australia, then joining the Beverly Hills Courier full-time at the beginning of 2010. During his school years, he learned the real-world journalistic ropes by toiling at the Queensland Times and Ipswich Advertiser. From today’s announcement:
