Media Catches Up to San Diego Sportscaster Slur
Last Monday, Fox 5 San Diego sports anchor Ross Shimabuku made a very poor choice of words. After playing a clip of Danica Patrick talking about how she wished the media would use a word other than “sexy” when referring to her, Shimabuku stated, “Oh I got a few words; starts with a ‘b’, and it’s not beautiful.”
On Tuesday February 21, Shimabuku apologized on-air for his offensive remarks; he was also suspended for a week without pay.
