Sam Sifton Picked To Fill Bruni's Restaurant Critic Post

New York Times executive editor Bill Keller just announced the appointment of a new restaurant critic to take up the departed Frank Bruni’s knife and fork. Come October, Culture Editor Sam Sifton will be taking over the post abandoned by Bruni in May.

“In the weeks since the announcement that Frank Bruni would be hanging up his napkin, we’ve received numerous applications for the job of NYT restaurant critic,” Keller said in his memo to the Times staff.
