Journalism Student Juggles Internships with LA Times, New York Times
For 21-year-old Arizona State University journalism student Salvador Rodriguez, 2011 has definitely turned out to be the best of Times.
The Mexico City born, Houston raised Rodriguez recently completed a 12-week summer internship at the LA Times, working closely with technology section editor Peter Pae and scoring a front-page story on Monday about the potential impact of Apple’s iMessage technology. Now, as he prepares to complete a final fall semester in Phoenix before moving on this winter to his school’s DC bureau, it’s back to assisting locally based New York Times reporter Marc Lacey, who covers both Arizona and New Mexico.
