The Internet Really Likes Sally Field's HRC Speech

The two most remarkable things about Sally Field’s Ally for Equality Award acceptance speech at the recent Human Rights Campaign (HRC) dinner in Washington D.C. are how good she looks at age 65 and how measured a contrast her words provided to that infamous “You like me…” Places in the Heart 1985 Oscar acceptance speech.

Lovingly and lengthily introduced by her gay son Samuel Greisman, Field noted that she has never before publicly talked about her son’s orientation.
