S.V. Dáte Joins National Journal

The Jeb Bush expert will maintain that focus.

S.V. Dáte is joining National Journal, where he’ll focus on the White House and Jeb Bush. Dáte comes to the magazine from NPR, where he had served as editor, Washington desk since 2011.

Dáte is a veteran journalist. He has worked for the Times-Herald Record, the Orlando Sentinel, the Palm Beach Post and the Associated Press. Dáte is also the author of Jeb: America’s Next Bush.

“Shirish, who is currently a Washington editor at NPR, will join George Condon on National Journal’s White House team and will also contribute in a big way to our coverage of Jeb Bush—a subject on which he has no small amount of knowledge,” wrote National Journal’s editor Tim Grieve, in a memo.

Dáte starts April 13.
