Rupert Murdoch Thinks You May Already Be A Winner

In a bid to sell more newspapers (as in, Newspapers 1.0 — the sort made of dead trees and not hidden behind paywalls), News Corp. head Rupert Murdoch is bribing enticing readers into buying copies of The Sun — his only paper not currently hidden behind an online paywall — by placing banknotes in some copies of the paper.

Forbes links to the UK paper’s Tweet about the sweet, sweet giveaway:

A spokesperson tells Forbes that the promotions is a special treat for readers facing tough economic times — times when they can get their news, for free, online: “Many of them have been stretched this year with the economic climate as it is so it is a special pre-Christmas treat.”
