Roxana Saberi Freed, Other Journos Remain Imprisoned
Roxana Saberi, the Iranian-American journalist who was arrested and imprisoned in Iran is expected to be released from prison today after an appeals court reduced her sentence. Of course this is great news, because we were worried about Saberi’s health (she’s been on a hunger strike) and safety (its Iran, after all).
However, throughout her imprisonment, Saberi has sometimes been mentioned in news reports along with two other American female journalists, Euna Lee and Laura Ling, Current TV reporters who were both recently arrested in North Korea.
