Rolling Stone Magazine Feted On Long Island Public Television
Imagine our surprise at stumbling this weekend upon the exclusive world broadcast premiere of ”ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE: Voice of Our Generation” on Long Island’s WLIW (channel 21, Time Warner Cable). To add to the sheer surreality of a Rolling Stone magazine retrospective broadcast on serene Long Island public television, was the host: Late Night with David Letterman’s Paul Shaffer (?!). According to the press release:
” ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE: Voice of Our Generation features interviews with Rolling Stone founder, editor-in-chief and publisher Jann Wenner, executive editor Joe Levy, and other Rolling Stone contributors and admirers, as well as clips of musical performances, comedy skits and films from the last four decades that represent the scope of the magazine’s impact.”
