'Poorest' Congressman Takes Roll Call Ranking in Stride
Liabilities of family farm business keep David Navarao at bottom of the list.
CQ Roll Call’s latest “Wealth of Congress Index” is big news on the West Coast. That’s because for the second year in a row, California Democrat David Valadao sits at the very bottom of the annual rankings.
That’s today’s Bakersfield Californian front page, at right. Not exactly on the level of People’s “Sexiest Man Alive,” is it? Then there’s this, from a report by Sarah D. Wire for the Los Angeles Times:
“They [D.C. colleagues] offer to buy me lunch,” the second-term dairy farmer told the Los Angeles Times.
