Rob Reiner Discovers Hitler Magic

Actor/director Rob Reiner is onto something. In his appearance on Bill Maher’s show last Friday, he noted that if you want anyone to pay attention to what you’re saying in today’s political discourse you have to compare someone to Hitler. So he did, comparing Tea Party followers to the Germans who uncritically ate up Hitler’s hate spiel. And it worked. Every conservative blog in the country is talking about Reiner’s comments–including, not surprisingly, the LA Times’ “Top of the Ticket” blog.
