Resume Writing: Keeping Your Story Consistent

Stay on message. You’ve probably heard bosses say that, whether you work in print, television, advertising or any other business that sells a product or tells a story. And you probably rolled your eyes when you heard the cliche.

But the advice holds true for resume writing as well, according to executive career coach David Bass.

“Your resume should be reflective of the story you want to tell,” said Bass while speaking at the Career Circus hosted on Wednesday by mediabistro.

Bass said you should tell a story in your resume about your career.
