A New York Times Co. stockholder’s revolt leads to an interesting theory being floated, according to Gabriel Sherman in the Observer:

Why not get rid of the shareholders? Could Arthur O. Sulzberger Jr. undo the work of Arthur O. Sulzberger Sr. in 1969 and take The Times private again?

Our only concern with going private: Would the Times and Sulzbergers be as fun to follow?
