President Obama Pens HuffPost Op-Ed
Among the sea of Huffington Post contributors, you might notice one name today that seems to stand out — President Barack Obama. Our nation’s 44th head honcho has taken to HuffPost to pen an op-ed about creating family-friendly workplace policies.
“Family leave, childcare, flexibility and a decent wage aren’t frills,” writes Obama. “They’re basic needs. They shouldn’t be bonuses — they should be the bottom line.”
Beyond the fact that Obama shares a byline with a site that features headlines like “Don’t Expect Mila Kunis to do THIS” and “Ugh,” what we found interesting was that the comments on the president’s piece are remarkably civil.
