Popular Mechanics has named a design director and Marie Claire has added a senior editor

Hearst Magazines has made two moves, involving Popular Mechanics and Marie Claire. Details are below.

  • Michael Wilson has been named design director for Popular Mechanics. He comes to the magazine from Philadelphia, where he held the same role since 2013. Prior to his time at Philadelphia, Wilson served as deputy art director for Esquire.
  • Jen Ortiz has been named a senior editor for Marie Claire. Ortiz comes to Marie Claire from GQ, where she served as an editorial associate.
