Half of today’s workforce leaves the office to eat and more than a tenth usually skip lunch, according to a new poll by Right Management Inc., an employment consulting firm.

When workloads are high and you’ve got a lot to do, it seems easier to just eat that granola bar you packed, but “skipping lunch takes a toll on productivity and physical health, warns Lynn Clement, market vice president at Right Management.”

A lunch break refreshes you and makes you better able to tackle the second half of the day.
