Playboy Drops Controller Amid Restructuring

Playboy Enterprises, publisher of gentleman’s magazine Playboy, announced Tuesday in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that it is eliminating the position currently held by senior vice president and corporate controller Michael Dannhauser. The change is effective Oct. 1. Executive vice president and chief financial officer will take over Playboy’s accounting, the company said.

Playboy is working through a restructuring effort in hopes of netting $3 million in annual cost savings. The company hopes to transition into a “brand management company,” and announced downsizing in late June.
