Petition Argues For National Holiday & Day Off Work on Super Bowl Monday

Here’s something we don’t think is too far fetched. After all, the day after the Super Bowl isn’t exactly the most productive one at the office.

According to AOL Jobs, around 4.4 million Americans typically arrive late to the office on days like today and nine percent of workers clock a vacation day. Three percent of employees call in sick.

Therefore, a concerned group of citizens applied on WhiteHouse.gov petitions to make today a national holiday to essentially get the day off from work today.

It’s about 95,000 signatures short of the 100,000 required signatures to get a response but the Fantasy Football Web site, 4for4.com,
