As the year comes to a close, it has become apparent that advertisers were willing to pour more money into fashion than anything else. Min reports that People StyleWatch posted the biggest ad page gain from 2010, up 365 pages.
Stephanie Sladkus, Publisher of the magazine, said, “This year, we’ve seen tremendous growth from fashion, retail and prestige beauty. As we enter our sixth year as a monthly, the continued success of the magazine is a nod to the editorial relevance for both our consumers and our advertisers.”
Power & Motoryacht was second, with 246 more pages than last year, and People en Español was third, gaining 228 ad pages. Rounding out the top five was Competitor and Vogue, gaining 228 and 211 more ad pages this year.
