A.O. Scott Leads PBS Newshour to Gorilla Coffee

A frothy Brooklyn setting for Jeffrey Brown's "Bookshelf" conversation.

Gorilla Coffee’s second Brooklyn location, at 472 Bergen Street in Park Slope, opened in the fall of 2013. It’s closer to A.O. Scott’s home than 97 Fifth Avenue and, hence, the New York Times film critic’s GC hub when he chooses to write his articles from the comfort of a java joint chair.

That tidbit is part of a fun PBS Newshour report by Jeffrey Brown tied to the February release of Scott’s book Better Living Through Criticism: How to Think About Art, Pleasure, Beauty, and Truth.
