Paywall Added to the Oxford Dictionary

It’s always annoying to write the word paywall because that red squiggly line that indicates a misspelling shows up under the word. But now, while the media industry adjusts to these paywalls, in hopes to save its revenues, the word is getting the dictionary treatment.

The Oxford Dictionary has added the word to its next edition. The official meaning is now:

A]n arrangement whereby access is restricted to users who have paid to subscribe to a website.
