OWN Calls Mulligan, Gets Ready For Do-Over

In an effort to “reset” the troubled Oprah Winfrey Network, partner Discovery Communications is preparing to spend $15 million on promoting the channel, or fully $5 million more than it spent to launch the thing in the first place, the NY Post reports.

This includes airing the premieres of Rosie O’Donnell’s new talk show and Oprah’s “personal education series” simultaneously on five Discovery networks, so the women will be pretty much inescapable on Monday.

Monday is also the beginning of what O’Donnell told reporters was the “actual real launch” of OWN.
