Oprah to Host Tony Awards?

Oprah‘s never starred on Broadway, but she’s a key producer of The Color Purple and could win a Tony for that role if the stage adaptation of the movie that earned her an Oscar nomination wins best musical. The Tonys are the lowest-rated of the top showbiz awardcasts. They could use a boost like Oprah and she’s such a passionate booster of Broadway this year that she may agree to perform on stage at Radio City Music Hall.
