One Third Of Working Moms Burned Out, Survey Says

34 percent of working moms are burned out as they take on extra work and second jobs to get through the recession, Careerbuilder reports as part of its annual Mother’s Day survey.

Forty percent of working mothers fear losing their jobs today more than they did a year ago, and 25 percent say they’ve missed “two or more” events in their child’s life in the past year.

But, in brighter news, 55 percent of moms say they’ve taken advantage of flexible work arrangements, with the “vast majority” reporting that flexwork hasn’t affected their career prospects.
