On the Ground at the White House National Design Awards Luncheon

Looks like we were the first to have something up about Laura Bush‘s National Design Awards speech on Monday. Thankfully, so we didn’t feel stuck with just a single transcript, the Washington Post had some feet on the ground at the event (and strangely, they’re the only ones we’ve seen covering it thus far). There isn’t a ton of new information, as the piece serves to offer up something of a primer to people who weren’t already aware of the awards, but there are some quotes here and there by the award recipients who were in attendance.
