Olbermann Gets Molly Ivins Award

Right now in Midtown, the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies (AAN) is giving MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann its first annual Molly Ivins Award.

The award was is in honor of the muckraking Ivins, who died of breast cancer in January at 62. The award “is intended to recognize a journalist or media figure whose reporting or commentary has had a profound impact on the public’s understanding of vital national issues, and whose work embodies the spirit of Ivins’ courageous legacy.”
