Observer: WSJ Metro Section Pushed Back Two Weeks

The New York Observer is reporting that the hotly anticipated Wall Street Journal New York section will arrive on April 26, two weeks after its previously anticipated launch date. Many observers see the section as geared toward cutting into The New York Times‘ readership and advertisers.

Earlier today, the Observer reported that the Journal would be adding New York sports reporters to beef up its coverage. Although the Journal has reportedly devoted $15 million-plus to the project and has recruited some hot former New York Sun talent, the leadup to the new section hasn’t been all gravy.
