NY Times Sued for Gender Discrimination

A former ad exec filed the suit.

Arielle Davies, who formerly worked for The New York Times as director of advertising products, has sued the company for gender discrimination.

According to filing reviewed by the New York Post, Davies was belittled by her bosses, pressured not to take her four-month maternity leave and eventually let go. The suit alleges that on Oct. 1, while Davies was still on leave, she was informed that her role had been eliminated. Davies claimed her role was the only one cut, despite her performing well.
