The New York Times has added Cecilia Kang as a reporter covering “the convergence of technology, media and telecommunications,” according to a memo from business editor Dean Murphy.
Kang comes to the Times from The Washington Post, where she most recently served as a senior technology correspondent. Kang had been with WaPo since 2006.
“Upshot’s Neil Irwin, who worked with Cecilia at the Post, describes her as ‘a stone-cold pro’ who has owned her beat by ‘combining subject area knowledge, sourcing and hard work,'” added Murphy.
