NY Public Radio Names Nathaniel Landau Chief Digital Officer

He joins from Univision.

New York Public Radio (NYPR) didn’t waste any time finding Thomas Hjelm’s successor. The radio company—which owns WNYC Studios, WNYC and WQXR—has named Nathaniel Landau senior vp and chief digital officer.

Landau most recently served as Univision Communications’ vp of product. He’s succeeding Hjelm, who left to join NPR.

“Nate possesses the right combination of digital experience, entrepreneurial drive, and strategic leadership to help us build upon and advance our digital products and engagement, elevate WQXR’s classical service to audiences across the country, and create new platforms for podcast distribution,” said NYPR president and CEO Laura Walker, in a statement.
