NPR Issues Social Media Reminder to Employees on Election Day

While many HR policies now include a social media one, it’s a powerful reminder that whatever you tweet or post will look like it’s essentially coming from your news outlet.

The guideline emphasizes: “The first rule of the day is simple. Just as “there’s no cheering in the press box,” it’s not appropriate to cheer (or boo) about election results on social media.”

It continues:

“Tweet and retweet [and post] as if what you’re saying or passing along is information that you would put on the air or in a ‘traditional’ NPR.org
