Didn’t Ian Spiegelman once call Page Six the “attack arm” of the News Corp. media empire? Well, today the page goes to town in its lead item about Fox News’ recent ad in a trade magazine calling CNN anchor Anderson Cooper “the Paris Hilton of television news. Page Six says CNN is “flummoxed” by the slam and working on a response ad for next week:
“It’s war,” a CNN insider told Page Six.
Indeed, the kind of “war” normally reserved for high school hallways, cafeterias and parking lots. In other words, cable news.
