NYT Employees Get Second Peek at 2014 Website

Earlier this year, a prototype for the New York Times‘ forthcoming website redesign was circulated internally. Starting today, it’s time for another round of the private beta, featuring many of the same basic elements married to a faster and more dynamic Web infrastructure.

From today’s internal memo:

This preview also includes re-stylings of the homepage and section fronts, which feature a cleaner look, new navigation tools and new fonts. Like the prototype, article pages feature a cleaner, more engaging and responsive design; richer integration of photography, video and interactive story elements; and more efficient navigation tools.

The preview, as you might expect, cannot be accessed beyond the NYT company firewall.
